Tenkiv DAQc
Tenkiv builds a laboratory-grade data acquisition instrument called the TekDAQc. One of my projects at Tenkiv was to improve the performance of the analog inputs of the Tekdaqc. The problem appeared to be related to poor PCB layout; when measuring microvolt-scale signals, improper routing can have a significant noise effect. I designed a test board in Eagle with 8 analog input channels routed to reduce cross-talk effects and improve differential pair signal integrity. My changes to the input pathways led to an order of magnitude improvement in noise performance.
